Just back from a day on the Carneddau in North Wales so only just picked this up from my in tray from a co member of the Cumberland Geological Society. It appears that force crag mine is open this Sunday for conducted tours starting at 10.30am with the last at 3.30pm.
As you may know Force Crag Mine was the last working mine in the Lake District and produced lead, zinc and barytes from 1867.
There is no need to book.
Might make a nice variation to a Coledale Horseshoe walk
