Purist: . Esoteric: intended for or understood by a small number of people with specialized knowledge or interest. OED That's why I said the question was more suited to meterologists than Lake District fellwanderers. Frank.

This might not please the purists, but something simpler such as a general knowledge question (eg: when did such and such happen) might attract more interest. Thats how the quiz actually started off, quite simple questions or quotes on a main board. I for one am finding it difficult to put time to one side to complete a complex quiz. I much prefer the simplicity of the the photo quiz. Andy

We'll give it another week for your thoughts and suggestions and then make a decision.
More suggestions for names for the board, should we not have the regular Monday quiz, would be welcome.
As Andy B has said the quiz developed from simple questions or quotes (mainly quotes) on the main board, these were all AW or walking related, and reverting this board to that sort of format might be the best way forward.

Given there is little support for a regular quiz we'll just continue with this as a board for posers any time - not long quizzes Happy to retitle the board, as Derek suggested: Ask Me AnytimeThanks to John for taking the lead
