Today, yes, in the rain!, yes, we are mad!
myself, Kev, Joanne, Anthea & Dave recced the last 15 1/2mile, 3000ft ascent, of The Lakeland 50 route from Ambleside to Coniston, it was WET! it rained non-stop with flooding along the path between Skelwith Bridge & Elterwater, most of the paths were just streams, at times it was almost like ghyll scrambling!, my camera/phone packed in at Langdale and still not working 100%, not the best of days at all, but very, very enjoyable! managed a new record time for me at 4hrs 25min, we were all soaked to the skin by the time we reached Coniston to get the bus back to Ambleside, I'm surprised they let us on!

Look me up on www.artbyraybradshaw.com
I like to paint people enjoying the outdoors in and around the English Countryside. Mainly the Lakes and the Dales. More recently the urban scene is included. I would like to think that if AW was alive today, if he didn't appreciate my talent, he would at least get my humour.

Definitely needed a wet suit for that - very impressed that you did a record time in those conditions.

Hope you get better weather when you do the L50
