 Dawdling on The Dodds
« Thread Started on May 7, 2012, 4:59pm »

I was over in the Lakes on Thursday making the most of the lovely weather. Took Badger and Cleo for a wander over The Dodds from High Row. Brilliant walk, walked for over 5 hours without seeing a sole, until I had I strange encounter on Birkett Fell, I'll let you read the journal to find out what that was! Enjoy .... ;D

The fleeting hour of life of those who love the hills is quickly spent, but the hills are eternal, always there will be the lonely ridge, the dancing beck, the silent forest, the exhilaration of the summits. These are for the seeking and those who seek and find while there is still time will be blessed both in mind & body. AW- Book 7 The Western Fells.

Wow Gary, really loved those pics.......I loved that route up onto the Dodds...did it with our Andy a bit ago! Must get back up that way again methinks!

That 360 is brilliant and yes, on full screen, felt as if I was there for sure!!!

Hi Gary,

Thanks for posting,

As you say it's very pleasant walking along there once the height has been gained; a bit dodgy in the clag though,

All the best,

Lindsay

Great pics, as usual Gary, I followed a similar route 3 week ago, in let's just say, not as nice weather! It was snowing on Great Dodd, I don't half pick the days!!

Fantastic pictures as ever Gary - we were over that way to do Raise for the 2012 Society Challenge on Saturday and had similar views but I think Thursday was a little warmer.

Love the idea that the dogs now lie down at every cairn .... lol ;D
that's very good training !

Nice blue skies - I like the Dowthwaitehead photos
