Had a wander out in the Yorkshire Dales yesterday to do walk 27 in AW's Walks in The Howgill Fells which was the ascent of Wild Boar Fell from the north. A cracking day to be out, warm sun some blue skies and we only met four people all day!

Really enjoyed those pics Gary..looks a fab walk that one. Some fab shots of the pups playing, especially in the tarn.

What a gloriously clear day, some fabulous shots there. Good to see what the views are really like. When we did wild Boar Fell from the other side for the challenge a couple of years ago it was really cloudy and poor distant visibility.
Loved the shot with the sheep and the dappled light on the Howgills.

I love to go a-wandering ..... |

Look me up on www.artbyraybradshaw.comI like to paint people enjoying the outdoors in and around the English Countryside. Mainly the Lakes and the Dales. More recently the urban scene is included. I would like to think that if AW was alive today, if he didn't appreciate my talent, he would at least get my humour. |

The fleeting hour of life of those who love the hills is quickly spent, but the hills are eternal, always there will be the lonely ridge, the dancing beck, the silent forest, the exhilaration of the summits. These are for the seeking and those who seek and find while there is still time will be blessed both in mind & body. AW- Book 7 The Western Fells. |

Nice photos Gary. I went up WB Fell that way a couple of years back, but not on as good a day as that.

Once I've finished the wainwrights, it looks like the Nuttalls aren't going to be as boring as I thought they might be.
Looking forward to a day at the beach!

Excellent Photos, interesting route, must admit I've been lazy and Parked up at Pendragon Castle and approached Wild Boar from there but will give your route a try next time I am in the area.

Great photos Gary - we planned to do this a couple of years back while camping at Kirkby Stephen but the clag was so far down it was below our tent!
Still looks interesting - must try it if we're ever over that way again.
Cheers Wendi
