Well my dear friends ! It all started on the 30th November with a biro pen doodle of Rob Kane whilst my mind was wondering rather than my legs doing the wandering. Since that date and through December we have had 12 Forum Disciples of AW depicted on this thread. I hope you have all enjoyed them and had a good laugh and given you reason to log on at a time when it is notoriously quiet on forums.

Please have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and I hope to see you all on the fells in 2012.

A big thank you to this chap below for bringing us together. ( whether he would agree or not ::) )

I like to paint people enjoying the outdoors in and around the English Countryside. Mainly the Lakes and the Dales. More recently the urban scene is included. I would like to think that if AW was alive today, if he didn't appreciate my talent, he would at least get my humour.

Just to say that it has been agreed by the Committee that I go ahead and sell these caricatures and the proceeds will go to the Calvert Trust Charity. ( My preferred choice as I started and finished within 2011 ) It has been kindly agreed that the AW caricature will be auctioned off at the AGM by Eric Robson and proceeds for that will go to the Cumbria Wildlife Trust. ( The Society's preferred charity for 2012 ) I will have this one Framed and Mounted and will post an image in the near future.

Martin if you could update the Montage for me to include the AW caricature and I think JB and Don, that would assist me to discuss my plans for that with the printers with regards to a poster for anyone wanting one. (sorry Lindsay not going into tea towels yet ! )

I also need to know if any individual would object to their image appearing on the montage. Please email or PM me )

There will be a minimum donation of £10.00 for each original sketch
( the exception of one (Rob's ) are pencil drawings on A4 paper .)

I am looking into the cost of having each image mounted with a plastic sleeve cover. Cost will be minimum but extra to the donation to charity. (i.e about £3 -£4 ) It would be helpful to know how many people would be interested in having this done. More numbers will reduce cost .

I will post more specific details of the arrangements around purchasing etc once I have spoken to my printer.

I would really like to have all the originals available to be on display at the AGM . For those who can't attend it will be arranged to send by post. However, all will need to be purchased prior to the AGM so that the donation can be added to the total to the Calvert Trust amount for the AGM accounts.

(If Individuals wish to receive their image prior to the AGM they can of course have them sent out to them after donation and p & p is received.)

Okay then, I will notify members of final cost details and arrangements as soon as I get these. In the mean time if you could email or PM me with an interest and /or preference that would be appreciated.

A great idea Ray and an added bonus for the Calvert Trust.

Have you a large mirror at home because I think a self portrait of yourself and Bros should be included. With fence post.

We hope the auction goes well, we will not be at the AGM as we will be on our way to the airport for a flight to southern Spain for Easter and Jennifers birthday.

I need to clarify something. The plastic sleeve I refer to is a cover, I don't mean laminated it is just a Mount in a presentation sleeve. The sleeve is for protection only and can be removed for framing.
Ray

PS Just noticed the 'Threadmeister ' title next to Superhero ! Thanks Derek. Okay then who is going to take that title off me , Try it :-* ;)

One more clarification. This is just for those caricatures featured on the forum to date. I will not be doing more on this occasion as there is just not enough time or enough room on the montage for this. I will certainly consider a similar project next December for those members not featured this time.

I must apologise for this as I have said no more caricatures this time around. However, I have had so many people say they want me (and Bross ) included onto the Montage that I have had to do this. Just to let you know , I'll not be buying one now ;D ;)

Thinking I'l give that path a miss !
